Franco Simeoni

Franco Simeoni is an Italian economist, corporate finance strategist and senior adviser with extensive international experience in business transformation, financial strategy and innovation.

His professional career combines leadership within one of the world’s leading professional services organisations with a long-standing engagement in the development of new approaches to corporate finance, innovation and knowledge-based economic systems.

Professional Career

• Ernst & Young: from 1982 to 2002, Simeoni served as CEO of Ernst & Young Italy. Between 1984 and 2002, he was also a member of the EY Global Board and its Global Strategy Committee, contributing to the firm’s international development and strategic direction.

• Global Corporate Finance: he founded and chaired the EY Global Corporate Finance division, helping to establish an international framework for the delivery of corporate finance and strategic advisory services.

• Strategic advisory: since 2002, he has worked as an independent strategy adviser, supporting organisations in areas including corporate finance, business transformation, governance and long-term value creation.

Innovation and Knowledge Networks

Simeoni co-founded PDMA Southern Europe with Paolo Zanenga. It was the first European affiliate of the Product Development and Management Association, an international organisation dedicated to product development and innovation management.

He is also a founder of Diotima Society and a founding partner of Diotima Institute. Within the Diotima ecosystem, he contributes his expertise in economics, finance and strategy to the exploration of new models of systemic innovation, cooperation and value creation in the knowledge society.
